History of the .50 Action Express Cartridge:
This monster semi-auto pistol cartridge was developed by Evan Whildin at Action Arms Company in 1988 for use in huge “Desert Eagle” semi-auto pistol by Magnum Research Inc. (IMI).
It has a slightly rebated rim, the rim is .511″ diameter vs. a .534″ case diameter. A great hunting cartridge and pistol !
