History of FN 5.7x28mm SS193 version: The SS193 cartridge features a 55-grain (3.6 g) Sierra Game King FMJBT (Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail) projectile. The SS193’s low muzzle velocity eliminates the distinctive “crack” created by supersonic rounds when used in conjunction with the P90 Gemtech sound suppressor. The SS193 suffers from greatly reduced penetration and range, but benefits from slightly lower recoil. The white colored bullet tip can identify SS193 subsonic ammunition. It was previously designated “Sb193.” Its sale to civilians is restricted, but this is pre-ban (FNH 00) H/S, 2000 ammunitionHistory of the FN 5.7x28mm Cartridge : The FN 5.7×28mm was designed and developed in the late 1980s by FN Herstal in Belgium, who began manufacturing the cartridge in 2002 for field tests. It is small caliber, but very high velocity cartridge that was designed to replace the 9mm Luger for both Military and Police duties as well as (now) a very popular civilian market. By 2006, FN’s 5.7×28mm firearms like P90 “bullpup” carbine personal defense weapon and Five-seven pistol were in service with military and police forces in over 40 nations throughout the world.Today there are many verisions of the cartridge, we will try to offer them all to the collectors.
