History of the 440 COR-BON Magnum cartridge:
The 440 COR-BON Magnum was introduced as a great flat shooting hunting cartridge in 1997.
It was made by necking down the .50 AE cartridge from .50 caliber to .44 caliber (.429″ diameter), for use in the Dessert Eagle semi-auto pistol, simply by changing the barrel. COR-BON never had a correct head-stamp and only used .50 EA cases.
