One Cartridge, not a box: . 380 Revolver Mark II, produced by Royal Laboratory of the United Kingdom, with a “ R Λ L 40 .380 II” Head-Stamp for 1940, and nickel plated copper F.M.J., nonmagnetic projectile.
History of the 380 Revolver Mark II cartridge:
The 380 Revolver Mark II was among many .380 caliber revolver cartridges coming out of England in the late 1800s & early 1900’s. This cartridge was the successor to the 380 Revolver Mark I.
It was used in the British Army from 1937, and also by the Singapore Police Department.
