History of 300 Savage Cartridge:
The 300 Savage was developed and introduced by Savage Arms Company in 1920 for the Savage Model 99 lever-action rifle.
The cartridge produces ballistics close to the 30-06. Still produced in small amounts today, this cartridge is a fine deer cartridge but considered by many as under powered for Moose and larger game.
