One Cartridge, not a box: 250 Savage, a.k.a. .250-3000 by Winchester, older factory production loaded using New (then) cases with “W-W SUPER 250 SAV” Head-Stamp and loaded with the 100 grain now obsolete “SILVER-TIP” JSTSP (Jacketed Silver Tipped Soft Point) projectile.

History of 250 Savage cartridge:
The .250″ diameter Savage was designed by Charles Newton and was originally called the.250-3000 as it was loaded with a (25 Caliber) 87 grain projectile and had a velocity of 3,000 feet per second.
It was introduced to the public around 1915 for use in the Savage Model 99 lever-action rifle.Today it is normally commercially loaded with a 100 grain projectile.
