One Cartridge, not a box: .327 Federal Magnum by Federal Cartridge Company, using new Federal Brass cases with “FC 327 FEDERAL MAG” head-stamp and loaded with a 100 grain JSP (Jacketed Soft Point).
History of the .327 Federal Magnum cartridge:
The .327 Federal Magnum was introduced in 2008, and was a joint effort between Federal Cartridge Company and Ruger Firearms Company to offer a new powerhouse in the .32 caliber (.32″) hand-carry light weight revolver market.
By the looks of the ballistics (1500 fps muzzle velocity in a 3 &1/16″ barrel for 100 grain projectile) it looks like they did the job well (500 foot pounds!) 45,000 PSI!
Ruger is offering this caliber in a new SP-101 platform revolver.
The .327 Federal Magnum offers muzzle energy twice that of .38 Special +P loads!
