One Cartridge, not a box: .499 LWR by Leitner-Wise Rifle Co. Factory loaded on new brass with “499 LWR” Head-Stamp and huge JHP (Jacketed Hollow Point) projectile. Obsolete! *Patina: Most collectors like Patina (nice word for tarnish) Due to age some Patina started, or if you want polish it with brass polish.

History of the .499 LWR cartridge:
The .499 LWR was developed by the Leitner-Wise Rifle Company, primarily a defense contractor in research, development and manufacturing, providing strategic solutions to the military.
In response to 9/11, the company embarked on the production of some of the most powerful small arms weapons platforms available at the time.
The .449 LWR is a huge straight walled case, with an extremely rebated rim, so it can work in the AR-15/M-16 weapons.
Now Obsolete, due to the many other calibers available for the AR-15 or AR10.
