One Cartridge, not a box, the picture of the box is for reference only!

One Cartridge, not a box:  .360 No. 5 Rook aka *.360-18-125 Revolver by Eley or Kynoch of London, England, lead projectile and no Head-Stamp. very early estimate late 1800s to early 1900s LOADED WITH BLACK POWDER (see picture)  *.360-18-125* = .360″ bullet, 18 grains black powder, and 125 grain bullet weight.
Please note: The cartridges for sale are from the metal box in metal picture, due to age the bullet lube (normally bee’s wax) melted on the cartridges, so  we cleaned them off with paint thinner only.
The cartridges are a mix of different degrees of patina(as pictured) and most in excellent condition condition, considering they are at least 110 years old and loaded with black powder.

History of the .360 No. 5 Rook cartridge :
Introduced by the British between 1875 to 1880 as a black powder cartridge and loaded until app.1945 with more modern powders for that era.
The cartridge was illustrated in the 1909 Charles Lancaster & Co. catalog for a under-lever single-shot rifle and the Webley “Express” revolver, and the 1902-1903 Kynoch catalog lists them as rook and kangaroo cartridges.
The caliber was loaded in both lead ball, shot and blank cartridges, loaded by Eley, Kynoch, Nobel Industries and later Imperial Chemical Industries with separate rifle and revolver loadings and chambered in many firearms of the time…
Now long obsolete for over 75 years and counting.
